Can we all please basque in the glory that is our own little corner of the globe—Perth. With something for everyone this weekend, it will literally be impossible for you to be disappointed. As usual, we’ve got beer and foodie events galore, as well as plenty of fashion, yoga and an opportunity to laugh your socks off. This weekend is also a hotbed for all art lovers and aspiring artists!

So here you go, have a gander at what’s on this weekend in Perth.

Friday 13 November


Go on a little crafty adventure this weekend by visiting seven beautiful homes in Fremantle to have a sneak peak at the artwork of 37 different artists within the homes. All the houses are within walking distance of each other so it is a perfect opportunity to get some much needed vitamin D and have a nosey snoop around this gorgeous burb'. All artworks are available for purchase and Artist Open House will be running all weekend with various starting times. The craft beer enthusiasts at The Dutch Trading Co are hosting a blind tasting of three wiz-bang beers made by some of the best brewers in WA on Friday. One beer will be brewed by a group of youngsters (under 30’s), another will be brewed by the old timers (over 30’s) and the final brew will be produced by the ‘legends’ of the distillery. Get your punting shoes on and place your bets as to who will win best brew! One ticket will allow you to try the three brews as well as some light nibbles and quality fun times.

Let us paint you a picture here—Madonna, Duran Duran, high cut leotards with subtly contrasting tights, and legwarmers matched with tightly curled curls in a half pony with a scrunchie and a sweat band. This Friday night, two of our favourite gal pals from Yoga Alchemy will be getting down to some 80’s aerobics and we are so pumped! Time to get your 80’s sweat onnnn.

Rigby’s Bar & Bistro is back with another fab comedy night this weekend. Featuring east-coast comedians Greg Fleet and Luke Heggie, pop down after work for an early dinner followed by some ab muscle generating laughter. The show starts at 8pm so don’t be late (you don’t want to be called up on stage ok?)

Saturday 14 November


We need your ultimate and undivided attention for this one, friends, because our favourite day of the year is back! Errrmerrrgerrrddd! We can’t even begin to explain all the clothes, goodies, music, art, entertainment, wine, beer and food on offer! The friendly peeps from Brika, Eat No Evil, Flour Factory and Varnish on King (just to name a few) will be there to say hey and to fill your bellies full of goodness. Public transport options are probably the way to go as it can get a little busy!

This annual day at Ascot Racecourse is held every year to support Breast Cancer WA and we couldn’t think of a better way to support the cause. All funds raised will go towards supporting Western Australians affected by breast cancer on a day that promises to be filled with food, fashion, fun and fabulousness. The price of the ticket will include a 5 hour canapé and beverage package, gate entry and race books, flowing bubbles and prizes, raffles and auctions to support the cause. Frock up and suit up to support The Breast Cancer Foundation of WA.

Join Perth music lovers on Saturday night for some chilled out balcony hangs at the much-anticipated Sets In The City Festival. Featured DJ’s Tensnake, Yahtzel, KLP and Luke Million will be producing the goods with their laid back tunes and funky vibes at Perth Concert Hall. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy craft beers, ciders, cocktails and wine as they soak up the city and river views in the latest new pop up venue. Find out more here!

The folks down at the Fremantle BeerFest are continuing the WA Good Beer Week festivities for your beer-swilling pleasure this weekend.  Featuring some quality bevvies from The Old Brewery, Northbridge Brewing Company and Custard & Co, there will also be a home brewing contest where one lucky winner will have their brew on tap at a local Fremantle pub! It’s not just about beer though, there will also be comedy tents, music, entertainment and master classes to learn from.

Whether you’re an amateur artist or a crazy successful one, The Brass Monkey Hotel is inviting you down for an afternoon of drinking and drawing.
