Harpoon Harry brought Melbourne to us starved Sydneysiders through its Belles Hot Chicken pop-up earlier this year, and now brings us famed burger joint, Huxtabuger, as part of the Friends of Harry’s food series… And we can’t wait to wrap our hands (and mouths) around one of these bad boys.
Daniel Wilson, Dante Ruaine and Jeff Wong opened the first Huxtaburger in Melbourne in 2012, which has now grown to four different stores in Collingwood, Prahran, Hawthorn and the CBD delivering the goods of hot, juicy wagyu beef burgers and cold beer. Sure, we have Mary’s, The Lord Gladstone, and Five Points Burgers, but we can always do with more burgers in our lives.
The delicious pop-up features five burgers from the Melbourne menu, including the Huxtaburger with your standard burger goodness, to Denise (the hot one) with jalapeños and sriracha mayo. And if you still need to fill in the gaps, there’ll be crinkle cut chipotle chips on offer too.
And just in case you want to create the perfect burger at home after the Huxta pop-up comes to a close, Daniel Wilson will be signing copies of his book, The Huxtaburger Book: The Art & Science of the Perfect Burger.
Get down to Harpoon Harry’s on 25th-26th July and get some of Australia’s most famous burgers into you (without the plane ticket).
