What if we told you that you could find some of Brisbane’s absolute best pho, decadent high tea, secret riverside cocktails, and super-luxe fine dining all in one place—without sacrificing quality? These blink-and-you’ll-miss-it dining offerings are as diverse as they are delicious: you can grab breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner, midnight snacks, second lunch—whatever you so desire, you’ll find them riiiight here.
We’re talking about the deliciousness that is the dining offering at Treasury Brisbane, in case you hadn’t picked up on that. And, for the unacquainted (or the plain hungry) we’ve put together the ultimate Brisbane food trail all the way through to your midnight snack, right at the Treasury.
Hope you’re hungry.
Stop 1: Game Changing Pho
Luke Nguyen is the face of Vietnamese food in Australia, so it only makes sense that his pride and joy, Fat Noodle, is authentic, fresh, and very delicious. Kick things off here with a huge bowl of pho—Fat Noodle uses Luke’s signature beef broth, thinly sliced Angus sirloin and brisket, and fresh veggies—and a side of salt and pepper silken tofu (if you don’t like tofu, this is the dish that will convert you). Obviously, you also need to order the dim sum, too: BBQ pork buns, prawn dumplings, and edamame. Oh, and the Hainan chicken. Actually, order it all. You won’t regret it. Then, it’s on to explore the city—because the Treasury is smack-bang in the city centre, it’s the perfect base, no matter your plans.
Stop 2: Drinks In A Hidden Bar
After you’ve worked up quite the thirst exploring the CBD (shopping, we mean shopping), you’re going to want to make a beeline right for The Kitty. It’s hidden within the first floor of The Treasury. Clad in sandstone, luxe leather fitouts, and huge windows with river views, you’ll feel a bit silly you hadn’t found this place earlier, really. Grab a seat by the river and sip on champagne cocktails and canapes. Try not to let the cheese boards tempt you (it’s ok if you cave, we would too) because next up you’re off to indulge in one of Brisbane’s OG fine dining institutions: The Lab.
Stop 3: The Lab
After a busy day slurpin’ world famous pho, exploring our fair city, and downing cocktails with a view, we think you’ve truly earnt a fancy dinner at the multi-award winning restaurant, The Lab. Set among the stunning grounds of the Treasury Brisbane Hotel—with bay windows primed for people-watching, no less—The Lab’s modern Australian menu will seriously wow you. Comprised of fresh, local, and premium produce, the food on offer at The Lab is a game changer. We don’t want to give too many spoilers, but the porcini maltagliati with eggplant, tomato, thyme, crème fraiche, and Taleggio cream is 100% going to blow your mind.
And while you could end your food trail here, you should probably hot foot it back to The Kitty for a night cap before you leave. Would be rude not to, really.
