We love Northbridge and the CBD and all of the eastern foodie burbs, but come summer time, all we really want is to spend every waking minute as close to the ocean as possible. Lucky for us, there are new spots popping up from Port Beach to North Beach and everywhere in between.
Here are four brand new beachside eateries you need to visit.
Coast Port Beach
Coast on Port Beach is quintessentially West Australian. The vibe is relaxed and casual so you're more than welcome to pop in for a drink straight after a swim, but if you're after something a little more glam take a seat in the restaurant and take your pick from drool-worthy steak, fresh seafood, amazing salads and so much more. The perfect place for a big group catch up or an intimate dinner for two, add this place to your bucket list stat.
Modern Italian restaurant Tom's Italian (what used to be the Soda Sunlounge) is the perfect spot for post-swim pizza and Peronis. Looking over the gorgeous views of Tom's surf break, we can't think of a better way to spend a Sunday sesh. Offering a large range of fancy pizza, pasta, gnocchi and everything else Italian (bring on the cheese and cold meats) you will be sure to leave satisfied, especially if you top it off with the gelato of the day. With a decent drinks menu including smoothies, juices and a fair few cocktails, plus all your fave beer, wines and ciders, you can't go wrong.
Part of the City Beach redevelopment, Hamptons are dishing out breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks with a view. Head in for brekky after an early morning swim or grab a beer and watch the sunset.
Drift has opened up where Preston’s previously lived on Calais Road in Scarborough and they’re dishing out good coffee and some ridic pizza. The takeaway section opened in mid-November with the restaurant scheduled to open in 2017. Get excited!
