New ‘good times bar’ The Blue Flamingo officially throws open their doors on Friday and punters can expect upbeat jazz and tropical tunes with a big side of FUN.
Taking over the outdoor space of Perth’s Leederville Hotel, which closed last year for renovations, Blue Flamingo General Manager Jason Antczak said the amazing ‘drink and dine’ space is inspired by the colourful and playful California and Palm Springs style with a heavy South American vibe.
"It’s really an extension of the Mexican/South American/Americano culture that is now very much cemented in the Australian hospitality scene, but with a bit of a twist to make it more modern and slightly more stylish," he said.
Jason said Venue Manager Nick Harris (who comes via El Publico and venues across Melbourne and Shanghai) will focus on making The Blue Flamingo a must-visit Leedy destination for good booze, good food and lots (and lots) of fun.
Opening just in time for Summer shenanigans, you can expect a cocktail list that heavily features rum and tequila. The delish looking food menu has a South American street food feel, with starters including street corn and grilled wings with jerk mayo, and bigger plates like Cuban pork sandwich and martini chilli mussels. Drool!
Rum, pork sangas and tropical tunes? Sounds like our kinda place!
