Smart be those who build their restaurants on sand…or something like that.

In the past it’s been a tradeoff between ocean views or good food with plenty of seaside dining options failing to live up to their gorgeous coastal real estate.

Now Perth has a plethora of fabulous quality dining options popping up along our fabulous coastline (and about time too!) We’ve checked out these new beauties and served them up to you with your tried and true coastal haunts. Here are 11 of the best beachside restaurants in Perth.

The Shorehouse

Swanbourne

Overlooking the beautiful Swanbourne beach, Chef Oliver Gould’s The Shorehouse is the place to soak up the summery days and nights. Grab a seat out on the deck for a sunset with a bespoke Bloody Mary and fried buttermilk chicken. Better than summer in the Hamptons, not that I’ve been…but you can imagine.

Bib & Tucker

Fremantle

Freo darling Bib & Tucker, on the Leighton beach shore doesn’t just get by on its turquoise waters and white sand good looks. Head here for some of Perth’s best beachside dining, from Instagram-worthy pancake breakfasts to sunsets and charcoal roasted Freo octopus.

The Hamptons

City Beach

Located so close to the water you can feel almost the sand in your toes, The Hamptons is another strong contender in the beachside dining game. From smashed avo, acai bowls and French toast on offer for brekky and crisp barramundi, honey glazed pork loin and duck breast for lunch and dinner, you know you won’t be disappointed.

Il Lido

Cottesloe

Traditional Italian canteen Il Lido boasts a winning combination of genuinely delicious Italian fare with million dollar views. You haven’t known happiness until you’ve had an Aperol Spritz and charcutrerie platter while gazing out at the iconic Cottesloe Beach. If you tire of the gorgeous views, just cast your eyes over the impressive wall-to-wall wine collection. Better yet, drink their impressive wall-to-wall wine collection.

Clancy’s Fish Pub

City Beach

There’s nothing better than seafood on the sand and Clancy’s Fish Pub ticks all the boxes. Perched on the sand dunes of the fabulous City Beach and quirkily decorated with fishing paraphernalia, the laid back bohemian vibes here are irresistible.

Little Creatures

Fremantle

Who could deny the formidable oceanside dining and beer-ing at Fremantle institution Little Creatures. Grab a pint of one of their famous brews, some woodfire pizza and soak up the quintessentially Freo harbor views.

Voyage Kitchen

Sorrento

One of Perth’s most popular cafes, Voyage Kitchen, is conveniently located across the road from the beach in Sorrento. Take a dip in the coastal waters and then grab your all-day breakfast at this formidable neighbourhood spot—and watch all your troubles melt away!

Island Market Trigg

Trigg

Formerly Kailis Trigg Beach and before that Trigg Island Cafe, Island Market Trigg really is everything beachside dining in Perth should be and hits the mark where others before have ahem…struggled.  The beautiful interiors, epic pita bread and stunning view mean it’s always packed to the brim for lunch and dinner.

Canteen Pizza

Cottesloe

We don’t know what it is about the name Canteen and beachside eateries, but considering the quality of the pizza coming out of the wood-fired ovens here, we’re A-Ok with it. The meatballs are also melt in your mouth delicious so don’t miss those.

Odyssea

City Beach

A good menu is one thing, but when it’s combined with a superb wine list and views of the beach, will it doesn’t get much better than that! Whether you have just spent the morning at the beach or you’re wanting to go out for a fancy dinner, Odyssea is perfect for all occasions.

Bathers Beach House

Fremantle

Bathers Beach House in Fremantle is Australia's first-ever liquor licenced beachfront bar and restaurant, so you get to enjoy your drinks with your feet in the sand! Get a share plate and a couple of cocktails delivered directly to your sun lounge while you sit back and live like a king. If you'd prefer to stay out of the sun, grab a seat inside and enjoy the amazing views and incredible service. They’ve got tempting meal specials, a nice big seafood platter and amazing cocktails to go along with the busy and vibrant atmosphere. You can't get much more Perth than this!
