I don’t know about you, but when I’m stuffing my face full of delicious noodles or stuffed chicken wings, I’m one seriously phat phuk (relax, it means happy Buddha… guttermind).

Northbridge and Highgate
Let’s start up the top of China Town in Northbridge with Tra Vinh, a cheap no-frills dining experience that serves up some of Perth’s most authentic Vietnamese. Try the avocado milkshake just to say you did.
I see the roast duck noodle soup and stuffed chicken wings from Viet Hoa in my dreams. This awesome Vietnamese eatery on William Street is always packed to the brim. Hot tip: order from their specials menu.
Perth and Claremont
Come to mama. The city suits line up religiously everyday at lunchtime to get their hands on the bahn mi, rice paper noodle rolls and pho at Mama Tran. Don’t worry about being stuck in the work lunchtime traffic here—they sling those lunches out in record time.
Northbridge and Peppermint Grove
Lido is one of the classier destinations amongst a sea of casual Vietnamese restaurants (Peppy Grove is the more swanky of the two of course). Brown-paper-bag some wine and head there for some of Perth’s best Vietnamese fare. Try the Coca-Cola chicken!
Festooned with red lanterns and an impressive chandelier, Le Vietnam makes for a unique lunch destination in Perth’s CBD. But the hungry hordes don’t come for the interior decorating, they come for the best banh mi in town. Wash down the delicious fare here with a Vietnamese iced coffee for max pleasure.
Loyal clientele return time and time again to Phi Yen for fresh and tasty Vietnamese food. Bring your favourite bottle of wine and tuck into a massive helping of roasted duck egg noodles. And don’t skip the dessert menu.
East Cafe & Vietnamese Bistro
A curious combo of traditional western cafe fare and Vietnamese food, East Cafe & Vietnamese Bistro is a fave of the East Perth crowd. You can get an acai bowl and coffee in the morning and return later for some pho, rice paper rolls and banh mi.
Enjoy an espresso martini and some modern Vietnamese fare at this fully licensed and BYO up-market (ish) restaurant in Perth. Southern Star also gets bonus points for river views.
Located near Freo’s popular cafe strip, IPho is a sweet little spot for tasty tasty Vietnamese food. The friendly staff and modern décor don’t hurt either.
Oriental Pearl Vietnamese
Pearl Vietnamese is constantly packed full of hungry locals who can’t get enough of the Vietnamese fare on offer. Large servings of fresh food, BYO wine and a welcoming atmosphere has turned this new restaurant into a local hub.
Lil’ ol’ Girrawheen has a Vietnamese restaurant that could totally beat up your Vietnamese restaurant. Pho Huynh are pho pros and know how to stuff a mean chicken wing. Definitely some of the best Vietnamese in Perth.
East Victoria Park
To To restaurant has some steep competition in the Vietnamese food takes, with the popular Phu Pho just down the street. Even so, this popular neighbourhood eatery manages to be constantly packed out, with locals waiting out on the street for a table.

One of Perth’s most popular Vietnamese restaurants, Phu Pho hits all the marks. It’s fresh and flavoursome and you’ll keep going back for more. Basically, it’s amazeballs.
To the untrained eye Cafe 55 looks like your average lunch bar, but it serves up some of the yummiest Vietnamese and Malaysian food around town. Perfect for the hungry (and cheap) uni student.
The funkiest little city lunch destination that ever was, Urban Bowl is your best bet for tasty non-traditional Vietnamese food. Line up for their sought-after rice paper rolls, bahn mi, salads and noodles.
Dao Vien has some of the most authentic and delicious Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine in Perth. One of Perth’s best Vietnamese restaurants pho sure.
