What was once the hoity toity-est part of the Golden Triangle, Claremont has transformed into a bustling hive of eating, drinking and shopping with a whole lot less of the snobbery.
While you’ll still find the Lululemon-clad yummy mummies, there’s a whole lot more going on in this western suburb, with some pretty schmick bars, crazy good restaurants, boutiques that will steal your life savings and some pretty great beauty and fitness hot spots to boot.
Here’s everything worth eating, drinking, shopping and doing in Claremont.

One of the best Vietnamese joints in Perth, Mama Tran dish up cheap and delicious rice paper rolls, pho, banh mi and noodle salads on the daily. We are massive fans of their rare beef pho, grilled pork and spring roll vermicelli salad and the Vietnamese chicken baguette with chicken pate.

With an impressive cocktail list, all of the liquors, as well as quality beers, ciders and wines, Brooklyn Lounge is one of the best places to go for a tipple in Claremont. We are big fans of Brooklyn’s Finest—a maple syrup old fashioned garnished with candied bacon. Wowsers!
One of the best ways to wind down in Claremont is at Lucioli’s Aperitivo Bar. Serving daily between 5:30pm and 7:30pm, the bar is stocked up with Italian Prosecco, vermouth, Campari and Aperol, as well as an impressive list of Italian wines, beers and liqueurs. In the true Italian fashion, each drink is accompanied by a taste of Lucioli’s house made stuzzichini (canapes).
It’s no secret Asado is one of our favourite restaurants in Perth, and when it comes to their drinky poos they really know their shiz too. Featuring top drops from Argentina and Australia, grab a jug of sangria or Pimms to sip on while you peruse the extensive menu.
