Tiisch | The Verdict

If you haven’t heard of Tiisch yet, you must not have been on Instagram for the last two months and we can’t be friends. Seriously though, these guys have been all over my Insta feed and for good reason. Whether it’s the food, the coffee or the fit out, everything looks fricken’ beautiful, and it turns out it’s even better in real life. To celebrate all this goodness, we've teamed up with Tiisch to give you the chance to win lunch for up to four people. You can enter below.

Just walking into Tiisch and looking around is a pretty good experience. You’re surrounded by bright whites and so much greenery—thanks to folks over at State 28 and Little Leaf Co—plus a heap of ceramic mugs and tea pots from Loveramics (all of which you will want to buy). But the real fun starts when you sit down and actually get some food. My god this menu is good! From matcha pancakes to the bacon and egg roll on a brioche bun and everything in between, you’ll be struggling to choose just one.

Of course I’d done my research before heading in (my job is tough, it really is) and I found out that head chef and co-owner Sven Sander’s fave dish was the avocado and hummus (yes, avo and hummus together at last!) so of course I couldn’t go past that and it didn’t disappoint. If you can manage to tear yourself away from avocado for just one breakfast though, may I recommend the coconut chia oatmeal or the bacon and egg roll? Wowsers.

But we always knew the food was going be good. Sven used to be at Print Hall and they’ve also got Lisa Schreurs-Stone of Cantina 663, Mrs S and Must Winebar fame in the kitchen.  So what about the coffee and everything else? The guys here have done their research and are brewing some excellent Dukes Coffee, but they’re also impressing the pants off everyone with matcha lattes from Perth owned Miko Matcha and an incredible selection of of Whistleblower tea—another Perth business—which they are brewing to perfection.

For those of you working or passing by the west end of the CBD, Tiisch has also got a few take-away breakfasts and lunches on offer, plenty of muffins, donuts and other sweet treats and a whole fridge full iced tea, cold brew, Kommunity Brew kombucha and Pressed Earth cold pressed juice so you can grab something to go.

If all that isn’t enough to get you excited, how about the fact that they’ve collaborated with Green World Revolution to create jobs for the unemployed who have gone to town creating the beautiful windowsill garden. Basically what I’m saying is that you should feel good about supporting Tiisch, because they’re supporting a truck load of local businesses and people (and because everything is delish!)
