The Biennale Is Back!

Our favourite time of the year is almost here (and by year, we mean next year) because the Biennale of Sydney is returning in 2018.

Celebrating its 45th anniversary, the Biennale of Sydney will take over Sydney for twelve weeks from March to June next year, and it’s got one hell of a line up. Almost 70 artists from all over the world are expected to join forces, with their best work on show (if you only get cultured once in your life, this is it).

Aj Weiwei (pretty much the most famous Chinese artist ATM) is the one to watch, known for blurring the lines of art and activism. Working across a wide range of mediums including film, photography, ceramics, sculpture and installation, he is bound to have us in awe.

Other notable artists include Eija-Liisa Ahtila, Brook Andrew, Oliver Beer and Ciara Phillips. Put it in your calendar people!
