Karaage, oh sweet karaage, you win the key to our hearts. Fellow japanese lovers of all things karaage, gyoza, and bubble tea, behold West Village’s own Japanese Festival. With an array of cuisine, dancing, food stalls, bars, the Village will be transformed into a cultural playground, not only satisfying your bellies but your creative imagination. Brisbane foodies, boy do we have something in store for you.Yet another glorious food precinct is in the works and this one is said to be one of their biggest yet. The team from Westfield is transforming Carindale, Garden City and North Lakes into a mini food and entertainment festival over two days in August. Fine-tune your skills and fine dine with EAT.DRINK.WESTFIELD, which will feature cookery workshops, live music performances, art installations (that are edible, yes) and a whole lot of activities for kids. Just when you thought Westfield Chermside couldn’t spoil us any further, well, secret’s out, they are going to. To celebrate the opening of their new precinct, their two day Festival of Lights is in the works - with spectacular light shows, fireworks, art installations and glow projects.
