If you’re a vegan living la vida loca in Brisbane, you’ve definitely scoured our fine city for the very best vegan-friendly breakfast, lunches and dinners. To test your mettle and, hopefully, inspire a few more delicious meals, we’ve put together our list of 30 things you definitely should have eating if you’re a Brissie vegan. Time to get started!

  1. Lost Boys: For all the times you’ve craved waffles, but haven’t been able to find them. Vegan waffles served with grilled pear and crystallised ginger, coconut ice cream an pistachio praline. Also, their vegan-friendly coffee options are phenomenal!
  2. Govinda’s: Lunch or dinner, the all-you-can-eat (and drink) feast meal will have your belly full! You’ll get mixed vegetable curry, split mung dahl, koftas, fresh tomato and herb chutney, pappadams, garden salad as well as semolina fruit pudding and home-made ginger and mint lemonade too.
  3. Raw Lovely Two: As far as cakes go, the raw, vegan and organic delights being created by the guys at Raw Lovely Two are insane. They’re absolutely beautiful and incredibly delicious! They sell whole cakes and distribute to Brissie cafes. Try their Vegan Biscuit Ice Cream Sandwich. Do it. Do it. Do it.
  4. Pitstop Pizza: These guys specialise in vegan pizzas, with a whole section of the menu dedicated to their vegan options. Try the Vegan Marinated, with homemade pizza sauce, vegan cheese, marinated roasted capsicum, zucchini, sundries tomatoes and artichoke hearts.
  5. 5 Dogs: Love American street food? The guys at 5 dogs offer up TWO vegan hot dog options. Try their Vegan NYC Dog, a jumbo vegan hotdog snag topped with sauerkraut and fried onions.
  6. Cloverly CupcakesVegans love cupcakes too, ya know! The clever folk at Cloverly Cupcakes make delicious vegan cupcakes and distribute them to cafes across Brisbane. I will find you and I will eat you.
  7. Willow and SpoonThe ‘Breaky Bowl’ here is vegan and perfect for cold mornings. Miso eggplant, choy sum, bean sprouts, mushrooms, quinoa and sesame.
  8. The Gunshop Cafe: Their brunch menu boasts an incredible seed and nut salad of pepitas, linseeds, lentil, mung beans, hummus, sprouts, almonds and spinach topped with avocado and dates.
  9. Kitchen SanitariumThe Lentil & Five Bean Chilli Nachos! Enough said.
  10. Vege Rama: While their menu is bursting with awesome vegan options, it’s their sweet potato gnocchi that wins out here. Served with King Brown mushrooms, sugar snap peas, cold press olive oil and a chive cream.
  11. Bowen Arrow Cafe: Wrap your breakfast-loving chompers around their delicious sweet potato rosti. A traditionally cooked rosti served up on baby spinach, with pineapple and corn salsa, cashew cream, coriander and fresh lemon.
  12. Kiss the Berry: To soothe those sweet cravings, there’s nothing quite like one of the fantastic Acai bowls from Kiss the Berry, including their watermelon split bowl.
  13. Plum Tucker: Try their Magical Burrito of Goodness! Brown rice, chilli beans, kale and tahini dressing wrapped snuggly inside a burrito wrap.
  14. The Bakers ArmsWhile you can get your paws on vegan burgers and chocolate cake here, the thing you should definitely have tried by now is their vegan lasagna.
  15. Wilde KitchenThe guys here serve up a delicious nourishing veggie bowl, served with spiced pumpkin and tahini cream.
  16. Bohemian Raw: You really should have tried the amazing ‘naked treaties raw cakes’ from this Victoria Point spot by now. They’re so creamy and delicious, especially the Nickers Cake and Choc Beet Mud Cake.
  17. Sassafras Canteen: the Buddha Bowl on Sassafras’ dinner menu is not-to-be-missed. Spiced lentils, mushrooms, salad greens, beetroot and red bean falafel with pumpkin hummus and avocado.
  18. Nutri-Hitt: Love cake? The clever gals at Nutri-Hitt create insanely good raw, vegan-friendly, gluten-free cakes. Be sure to try the amazing death by chocolate, it’s all things creamy, crunchy and chocolatey.
  19. Little LocoThe all-day menu at Little Loco includes a fantastic chia pudding, served with coconut, loco granola, maple and apple, topped with blueberries and strawberries.
  20. Lock 'n' LoadGrab lunch at this West End favourite, with their roast pumpkin, beetroot and green lentil salad, topped with toasted sunflower seeds and a lemon vinaigrette.
  21. Coco WhipThank goodness for coco whip! This fantastic vegan coconut soft serve is being served at a few places across Brisbane and the Super Berry and Cacao Bliss flavours are not to be missed.
  22. Loving HutThe menu here is full of great options for veggie-lovers, including the Loving Hut Laksa. A spicy mix of fresh vegetables with light tofu puffs in a spicy, creamy coconut sauce, served on wheat noodles.
  23. The Green Edge: You definitely should have tried at least one of the SEVEN vegan-friendly burgers on the menu at The Green Edge. Seriously, seven!
  24. Fundies Wholefoods Cafe: The Vegan Big Breakfast. Organic sautéed mushrooms, oven roasted tomato and wilted baby spinach with avocado, organic scrambled tofu and Fundies’ signature beans all served with thick cut sourdough.
  25. 7 Hills Indian: This fantastic spot is all-vegetarian, a total meat-free zone. Try their Chick-pea Masala and Yellow Dal Tadka, with a gorgeous plain naan to sop it all up.
  26. BotanicaYou definitely should have raided the salads at Botanica by now. Seasonal, fresh and absolutely delicious.
  27. Charlie’s Raw Squeeze: The all-vegan menu here is simple and sweet. But make sure you try their fantastic taco bowl and one of their vegan smoothies too.
  28. Pineapple Express: Vegan Burrito Bowl!
  29. Beans & Greens Organic CafeThe berry buckwheat pancakes at this Ipswich-based vegan hotspot come with mixed berries, coconut ice-cream or coco yoghurt, granola and cinnamon.
  30.  Satori Organics: Another fantastic spot to raid their salad cabinet and take it away, with a fantastic coffee or chai.
