Siphoning the nectar of Coonawarra to the Cultural Forecourt, wine makers Brand’s Laira has opened a gorgeous cellar door pop-up in the heart of Good Food Month's Night Noodle Markets! Creating a space to take imbibers on a discovery tour of the label’s favourite varietals from within the hubbub of the market itself, while also providing ample (and slightly luxurious) seating to hoe in to that second (okay, fourth!) bowl of noodles!
Established in 1893 in South Australia’s terra rossa, Brand’s Laira’s has a rich history and a legacy that has survived along with the original vines that still bear fruit to this day. Notable drops include the Blockers range as well as the jewel of the cellar, the 2013 One Seven One cabernet sauvignon. Perched right on the banks of the Brisbane River, Brand's Laira's beautifully rustic setting complete with a cosy shed, communal farm table and vines (don't forget the wine!) feels more Barossa Valley than Brisbane—and the sweeping CBD skyline views are a bonus!
Brand’s Laira’s cellar door will be open and pouring from 5pm on weekdays and 4pm weekends for the duration of the Night Noodle Markets and serves as yet another reason to visit. Every. Single. Day.
