When it rains it pours, Brisbane. Just when we thought we couldn’t handle more new openings around the traps, news just hit our desks that HAS to be shared.
In a game-changing sitch for Brisbane’s burgeoning food scene, Michelin Starred chef and internationally acclaimed Manjunath Mural (from famed restaurant, Song of India in Singapore) is bringing his genius to a brand-new dining experience set to inhabit the largest retail space of the Brisbane Quarter precinct (read: premium CBD position).
The as of yet unnamed fine dining restaurant will feature Mural’s signature take on iconic Indian dishes (he’s known for his painstaking adherence to traditional techniques), paired with his unique flair and passion for local ingredients.
He’s not alone in the conception, however. Mural has teamed up with two of SEQ’s own acclaimed restaurateurs, Malt’s Nick Pinn and Saffron Restaurant’s Sridhar Penumechu to create what will be one of Brisbane’s finest dining experiences to date.
Alongside this unique menu will be a curated gin and whisky offering—another pairing first for Brisbane. The name of the venue and the highly-anticipated menu are a well-guarded secret for now but it is planned for opening mid-2018! Expect more details on exact launch dates very soon!
