It's been dubbed the second most prestigious art prize in Australia, and it's on again. Cake Wines are on the hunt for the next artist to claim the Archi-Bottle prize and decorate their bottles of 2013 Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc, set to be released in November.
An amazing platform for artists to promote their work, the coveted Archi-Bottle prize is up for grabs until the 4th of October. Not only do Cake Wines offer artists this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get their work on some prime wine real estate, but 10% of the proceeds go towards supporting local radio stations, like 4ZZZ.
And, as if that wasn't cool enough, the lucky winner will receive $2000 and five cases of wine. (That's a lot of grapes.)
Entrants are invited to submit existing or new works, and can find all the details via the cake wines website or Facebook page. Last year's prize was taken out by the artwork, 'Ears', which was featured on the Cake McLaren Vale Shiraz.
The winner will be announced on the 18th of October, as 30 of the finalists are exhibited at the Cake Wines HQ in Redfern and auctioned off on the night, with proceeds returned to the artists.
