This Immersive Theatre Experience Is Letting You Sticky Beak In People’s Houses

In collaboration with Backbone and La Boite, performance artist Jeffrey Tan cordially invites you to Open Homes, an immersive theatre experience where the audience is invited inside the homes of local residents to hear heart warming and heart rending stories over three consecutive weekends in October of this year.

If you’ve ever rootled through someone else’s toiletry cupboard, or regularly attend open homes just for the voyeuristic thrill of walking through a stranger’s house, then this latest theatre project is perfect for you.

A sort of roving performance, ticketholders will begin at La Boite and embark on a multi-stop trail through the surrounding suburbs and the hearths of some seriously game neighbours. At every home, the audience will be welcomed and entertained with a 30 minute storytelling performance recounting some heartbreak, comedic mishap or chaotic meltdown, right in the space where it first happened.

Tickets to this deeply intimate and personal take on immersive theatre are strictly limited, so keep an eye on the event page for when they go on sale to avoid missing out.
