In what is anticipated to be one of THE social events of the year, Jasper and Jasmine, the loved-up lovable pugs you see above, have just announced their forthcoming nuptials, and boy could we not be happier for them!
The date has been set for this weekend, Sunday 17th May, with the ceremony taking place at picturesque location, the West Beach Bathers Pavilion in St Kilda. As Jasmine and Jasper are in fact pug dogs, the seaside setting could not be more perfect.
We asked our official TUL Dog Interpreter, Paul, to get the inside scoop from the groom himself, with Jasper stating:
'Woof, wooooof, woof woof, ruff, woof, rufffffff, wooooooof!'*
(*translation: It’s a lovely open spot that both our two and four legged friends and family will enjoy! We couldn’t be more excited.)
Despite the fairytale, there have reportedly been some speed bumps!
Anyone who’s remotely human will tell you that six weeks is an insanely short lead-time to organise an entire wedding—especially one of this high calibre—with a close friend of the bride revealing to TUL that Jasmine is being a real bitch, mainly because she is one. But if there’s one thing this ceremony proves, it’s that love can truly overcome all boundaries and hurdles, no matter how high! *swoon*!
The Urban List can also exclusively report that Jasmine will wear a bespoke couture Bridal Gown designed by renowned Australian designer and runner-up in hit television series Project Runway, Craig Braybrook.
The venue will be lavishly decked out with flowers, champagne on arrival, canapés, wedding cake, pug treats, music, activities, chances to win amazing prizes and, of course, ridiculously cute pugs aplenty.
What’s more inspirational about this dynamic-pug-duo, is that the Bride and Groom have decided to sell tickets for their wedding to the public, with all proceeds going to Pug Rescue & Adoption Victoria Inc, a cause dedicated to helping more pugs be as happy and healthy as they are!
Jasmine and Jasper’s wedding of the year tickets (for both humans and pug guests) are available now on the dedicated wedding website ($60 for two-legged animals, $30 for four-legged). The event will also be streamed live on the web, for those that cannot attend in person.
We can’t wait to see the wedding photos…#puglyf
