Long-awaited Brisbane brewhouse, The Charming Squire has opened its doors in South Bank today, to shrieks of delight from Brisbane's beer fans.
This new Brisbane bar is the latest, and largest, in the succession of James Squire breweries already dotting the country. The Charming Squire has the same warm-yet-industrial, open-plan design and in-house brewery as its brother-brewhouses, plus a restaurant and café.
At the main bar (made of copper, FYI) you'll find the full range of James Squire beers, two ciders, and some new brews made right there on the premises.
This new Brisbane restaurant is counting on the pull of a wood-fired spit roast to tempt beer fans from their pints (we think it'll do the trick) and has a focus on local produce. Think pub favourites like steaks, slow-cooked hunks of meat, burgers, sliders, chicken wings, kebabs, oysters...oh sorry, we're drooling, but you get the picture. This is a great new addition to Brisbane gastro-pub scene.
The Charming Squire Brewhouse will also include a small café, The Brewer's Store, attached, serving up coffee, breakfast, and lunch to passers by.
The Charming Squire is open seven days, 11am until late. The Brewer's Store is also open for breakfast seven days.
