We are big fans of paleo eating here at TUL, and so we are quietly rejoicing at the proliferation of Brisbane cafes and restaurants dedicated to rescuing frustrated, diet-restricted diners from limp lettuce purgatory.
Paleo Café—a franchise with roots in Cairns—has just opened in Paddington, and is already delighting customers with a myriad of grain-free, sugar-free, and dairy-free options for breakfast and lunch. Word on the street (yo), is that dinner time may get the troglodyte treatment in the not too distant future, plus there are two more Brisbane locations (Brisbane CBD and North Lakes) set to open in the next few months.
Our picks of the menu are the banana pancakes with berry compote and whipped coconut cream, and a yummy looking rocket, pear, beetroot, and walnut salad, served with honey mustard dressing (totally customisable with your choice of chicken, prawns, or salmon). The juices and smoothies are also on our hit list for a nice, refreshing mid-summer thirst quencher.
Aside from the café offerings, the clever folks behind the concept, are also offering a huge range of paleo-friendly products to help you make the switch and maintain the lifestyle.
Get your Paddington paleo fix from Tuesday to Sunday between 7am and 3pm.
