Other than overseas travel, music festivals are the activity we’re missing the most right about now—especially coming into summer, when we’d usually be prepping our festival outfits and getting ready for at least one epic musical weekend blowout. But alas, coronavirus has really put a damper on those plans (shout out to anyone now holding a Falls Festival ticket for 2022)—unless you manage to snag a room at the upcoming REMIX HOTEL.
Taking over Ovolo The Valley for one epic weekend in October, this reimagined music and lifestyle festival will have you jiving to Groove Armada, Marshall Jefferson and Jason Bye from the comfort of a luxe hotel room, with live (but virtual) DJ sets streamed right to the in-room television. Best to round up a group of friends to join you, because up to six festival attendees can get together in one room (though you’ll need to book one room per two people—no sneaking in outside guests here), so you can all dance your heart out from 1.5m apart. We’ll be the ones jumping on the bed.
When you’ve had enough of the bed jumping, you can head out to explore the hotel’s VIP entertainment spaces, including poolside Sunset Sessions at the rooftop pool as well as several lounges and bars where the headline sets will be broadcast. You can also squeeze in a soulful Middle Eastern feast at ZA ZA TA and check out a massive, venue-wide multi-layered installation created by artist Georgie Pinn.
So what exactly does a ticket get you? Well, you can book either a large suite for $598 (for two people) or a Valley suite for $700 (also for two people). That covers two nights accommodation (and the mini bar in your room), a loot bag, breakfast for two on Saturday and Sunday, arrival drinks at Sunday’s Bloody Mary Brunch and complimentary drinks and canapes on arrival at Sunset Sessions on Friday and Saturday. And all the tunes of course, which will be streaming in live from London, Manchester and Ibiza, plus a few performances from artists actually in attendance at the hotel.
If you want to go all out, you can also add on dinner at ZA ZA TA at $65 per person, or a five-hour drinks package for $65 per person, per night. Basically, this is the boujee, full comfort music festival of your dreams—with not a tent or wet wipe in sight. Would you blame us if we kind of wanted all festivals to be like this?
