Well, it's the last TGIF mixtape of the year (naawwhh sad face), and we've enlisted the crew from one of our favourite bar openings in 2013 to hit the DJ decks for us. Cobbler in West End brought unique, top-shelf whisky to the masses when they opened earlier this year. With over 200 bottles of whisky on hand, a cocktail list that changes seasonally, and the option to BYO food, what's not to love?!
The rad cats from Cobbler have put together an awesome mix of old-school tunes and new-school vibes to get you stoked for the weekend!
TUL: What do you love most about your job?
Having a venue that is fun and creative, with a great range of whisky, we never have problems recommending something.
TUL: Your cocktail list is fast becoming one of Brisbane's most famous/infamous. What is your favourite on the list right now?
"I'm In A Glass Case Of Emotion" which uses locally sourced fresh mangos. We only use seasonal fruit and they are in abundance and delicious at the moment.
TUL: We just won big at the casino. What's the most top shelf drink you could pour us?
Easily "Yamazaki 25" at $220 a shot. We don't have a lot of expensive whisky, we'd rather keep the prices low so we can offer a greater range to our customers.
TUL: What's your favourite place for brekky in West End?
Merriweather in West end of course. They have great food and coffee and it's just around the corner from us.
TUL: Cobbler is BYO food, is there anything really random someone has brought in?
We have had everything from kebabs to whole roast dinners, cheese boards to sushi. We really don't mind what you bring so get creative!
TUL: If Cobbler were to have a theme song what would it be?
