If you’ve been looking for an excuse to expand your LEGO set collection, this news is about to hit you like a ton of bricks: Alceon Group just named Robina Town Centre as the location for one of its next official LEGO® Certified Stores.
The store is set to open in late 2019 as a custom-built, interactive retail space with 3D brick models and mosaics inspired by local icons. So, basically, we’re getting a huge shiny LEGO dreamland—to say we’re excited would be a gross understatement. No more brick-pile building trips to the store at Dreamworld for us.
More than 20 standalone LEGO retail stores are expected to open in Australia in the coming years, including a second store in Sydney (the first store at Westfield Bondi Junction opened earlier this year), a store in Melbourne, and an eventual expansion to South Australia and Western Australia in 2020. Yeehaw.
