You deserve a break guys. No really, you’ve been working hard all week long, so you’ve earned it. Go down to Martin Place tomorrow to pat a cute puppy and give them a kiss for us, while you’re at it.
To launch their new initiative ‘Paws the Pressure’, the Delta Society are encouraging you to escape the daily grind tomorrow and run, don’t walk, down to Martin Place between 8am and 3pm to cuddle as many pooches as humanly paw-ssible.
The Delta Society has a serious thing for delivering puppies to workplaces and universities to boost morale, reduce stress levels and promote wellbeing.
“Paws the Pressure has allowed our canine companions to bring many smiles and reduce stress in workplaces and we’ve certainly seen a positive change in the offices we’ve visited,” said Dr. Katrina Warren, who has been involved with the program. Delta Therapy dogs have been cheering up the sick and elderly for almost twenty years, so it is only right that they bring the puppy party to the CBD and share the love with the busy worker bees (you).
On a serious note, research has shown that having four-legged cuties around the office can help to lower blood pressure, improve quality of life and also benefit overall mental, physical and emotional health. As if we needed any more excuses to smoosh a cute puppy (hint: we didn’t) and we aren’t ashamed to admit that most of the time we love animals way more than we love humans and neither should you.
Put it into the calendar guys, because puppies.
