This week, we’re all about balance and yes we know we’ve said this before but honestly guys, this time we mean it. We’ll be tucking into not one but two Middle Eastern feasts, then hitting up a southern French-style dinner and topping it with all the vino we can find along the way. Then comes the balance we mentioned earlier—think chill drinks at the movies and a free HIIT workout.
Yeah, we got you. Here are five awesome things to do in Sydney this week.
Monday 20 November
NOMAD Dinner with Greg Malouf
Kick off your week with this epic middle eastern feast at NOMAD in Surry Hills, where Greg Malouf (aka the father of modern Middle Eastern cuisine) will host a one-off dinner with more share plates than you can handle. His dishes are paying homage to his Lebanese heritage with flashes of Melbourne restaurant MoMo. We have three words team: spiced duck pie. Book here.
Where: NOMAD, Surry Hills
When: Monday 20 November, 6pm
Cost: $150 + $45 for matching wines.
Tuesday 21 November
Movie Nights & Bites
Head down to Woollahra Hotel for night full of good vibes and even better drinks. Stella Artois is taking over the terrace this summer and turning on the big screen to play new and old classics that we all love. Think Bridesmaids, Wolf of Wall Street and Clueless, to name a few. We all have one friend who quotes these movies so often you feel like you’re living them, right? Exactly. Get on this.
Where: Woollahra Hotel
When: 21 November
Cost: Free entry
Free Outdoor HIIT Workout With Rachael Finch
Summer is pretty much upon us and it’s never too late to get body confidence happening. Hint: this Tuesday, your lunch break is going to involve Martin Place, Rachael Finch, and a 30 minute HIIT workout. Did we mention it’s free? Because it is. Register here.
Where: Martin Place
When: Tuesday 21 November, 12:00pm-1pm
Wednesday 22 November
Hotel Ravesis First Birthday
Can you believe it’s been a year since we were gifted the pastel-hued pub that is Hotel Ravesis (well, the prettied-up version anyway)? Well, we can’t either. To celebrate the occasion, our fave Bondi haunt has launched a fresh food and cocktail menu which means you’ll be sipping fairy fluff cocktails and nibbling on a choc-dipped hazelnut gelato bar all summer long.
Where: Hotel Ravesis
When: all summer
The Chef & The Butcher—Nose to Tail Lamb Dinner
Kepos Street Kitchen is turning five this month and in true birthday spirit, they’re hosting a series of dinners. And each one sees them collaborating with some of their favorite local suppliers to create a delish menu of goodies. This week, it’s all meat and they’ve got Michael Rantissi (owner of Kepos Street Kitchen) bringing the flavour and Marcus Papadopoulo (butcher at Whole Beast Butchery) bringing his nose-to-tail ethos and fresh AF produce to the restaurant. Warning: Food comas are expected and mandatory. Book your table right now as spots are filling fast.
Where: 96 Kepos St, Redfern
When: Wednesday 22 November, 6pm – 8pm and 8.15pm – 10pm
Cost: $65 + drink
