Instead of picking one those greasy and unhealthy meals, why not try something different from some of Sydney’s best restaurants, like a bowl of pho or some fresh sushi? It’s easy on the tastebuds and even better for your health!


Surry Hills

Sushi is one of the easiest and most delicious in the world of healthy take away foods in Sydney. Surry Hill’s Zushi has you sorted with a grab ‘n go pack of Superfoodo rolls if you’re walking past and are up for something quick and easy that won’t leave you feeling like you desperately need to hit the gym the next day! If it’s dinner you’re after, Zushi offers a wide selection of sashimi for a satisfying and healthy meal.

Basil & Mint

Neutral Bay

Why not go with the original healthy take away option – the meat and veggie stir-fry at your local Thai restaurant. An oldie but definitely a goodie, Basil & Mint in Neutral Bay provide many tasty variations that are all winners (but everyone knows the chilli basil is the best!).

Well known and well loved for a reason, Jasmin1 Leichhardt, one of Sydney’s best Lebanese restaurants, is just as tasty outside the confines of the eatery itself. You simply must start with a serving of Baba Ghannouj, and the mixed grill plates and salads are perfect for take away – who can say no to tabouli and a combo of hummus, felafel and shish kebab? We definitely can’t!

Make your own take away bento box at Soy, with a huge selection of yummy Japanese staples. So grab some edamame, gyoza, a sashimi salad (only $14) and some miso and be on your way for the perfect mid week dinner.

Hari’s Vegetarian

Grabbing a healthy, vegetarian dinner is so, so easy when you pay a visit to Hari’s Vegetarian. Located conveniently in Ultimo, it’s only a short walk from Central station and offers a range healthy dinner options including quinoa and roasted vegetable salad (only $10 for a large) as well as a range of rice and noodle dishes. Who said being healthy was boring?
