The ultimate hub of Middle Eastern goodies in Glebe has just launched a brand-new breakfast and brunch menu—so prepare for an epic upgrade on your avocado toast care of the legends at Thievery.
If you enjoy traditional shakshuka, Thievery's version is a heavy hitter with the eggs baked in Lebanese foul moudammas with chickpeas and Meredith goats fetta.
On the more innovative and creative side of things, we recommend trying the Tahini "panned cake". Different to a pancake, it's fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside, and served with crumbled halva, sesame ice-cream, roasted pumpkin seeds, hazelnuts, caramelized ginger and drizzled with burnt honey.
Other highlights include the fermented chickpea crumpet with roast pumpkin and smoked garlic creme fraiche and the breakfast kebab—a Middle Eastern spin on the hangover saviour that is the bacon and egg roll.
The menu will be launched on Saturday 15 June and will be available for patrons to order up between 8am to 3pm every weekend. Due to the change in the opening hours, Thievery will no longer be opened on Tuesdays.
