What a week, guys! No doubt it’s been a mile-a-minute at your desks too, so what better way to kick-start the weekend vibes than to treat yourself at one of Brisbane’s best restaurants or bars.
We’re all for a cheeky drink and dish combo, so here’s 6 awesome Brisbane bars and restaurants to check out this weekend in Brisbane.
Whether you're gluten-free, vegan, or a strictly carnivorous diner, newbie Brisbane restaurant Detour in Woolloongabba is set to be your new go-to Brisbane dining spot. Expect edible ants (really!) and fossilised veg among a host of other incredible dishes. The perfect dinner date option.
Asian street eats, we love you! That's why we're pretty darn excited about Junk Boat opening up in South Bank. From crispy soft shell crab bao, to caramel laksa and gunpowder chicken ribs, you need to hit up Junk Boat if you’re feeling like delicious Asian dishes this weekend.
Charboys burgers are no small treat, they're a feast—especially after a hard day's shopping! You can't go past their southern fried chicken burger but our pick has to be the classic cheese burger with bacon and crumbed mozzarella sticks; not your average quarter pounder here, folks. Charboys is 100% worth not sticking to your diet for.
Tumbling Stone is changing up the Spring Hill dining scene as part of the brand new Johnson Hotel. Expect all-day casual dining using local produce, serving up dishes like gruyere cheese tarts, Bangalow sweet pork bacon, spiced pumpkin hot cakes and chilli scrambled eggs! Invite your mates and make a dining date at the Tumbling Stone pronto!
Corbett & Claude
Hidden down an alleyway off Elizabeth Street in the CBD, Corbett & Claude is inspired by the old Corbett Chambers. Featuring a 12-tap craft beer bar, a well-edited cocktail list along with pizzas and small sharing plates, Corbett & Claude is perfect for causal CBD dining and drinking with pals. You can even build your own charcuterie board—a total win for cheese lovers!
Fave Brisbane dumpling bar, Fat Dumpling has (finally!) opened a second store—this time on King Street in Bowen Hills. YES! Tuck in to big, fat, succulent dumplings, fresh stir fried greens, crispy pork belly and their infamous Xiao Long Bao, washed down with super cold Tsingtao beers.
