It’s no doubt a busy time for the actual Queen of everything. Just last week, news dropped that adidas and Beyonce were teaming up for a streetwear collab which would crown her as a creative partner. On the same day, word on the street was that Queen B and Netflix had a project locked in the pipeline and today, a trailer is born to feed our burning questions.
Spoken by Maya Angelou (American poet, singer and civil rights activist), the trailer casts a watchful eye over the entertainer in the lead up to her historic 2018 Coachella performance. The iconic set included five costume changes, one hundred dancers, fireworks, a bunch of major cameos and went for a mesmerising two hours.
Throughout the doco, you can expect an intimate glimpse into the show that paid homage to America’s historically black colleges and universities. It’ll be split between candid footage and interviews detailing the powerful intent behind her vision, tracing the road from creative concept to cultural movement.
Homecoming is set to land on Netflix April 17.
Can't wait? Here's a bunch of epic movies to watch on Netflix right now.
