Oh, joy. The day has arrived. Chur Burger — iconic Sydney burger restaurant with a legion of loyal fans — has opened under the new Tryp Hotel on Constance Street in Fortitude Valley. Needless to say, we're kind of freaking out.
If you haven't heard the hype about Chur Burger yet, you need to swot up. Chur burgers are some of the best around — ask any Sydneysider. Their menu features seven epic burgers, so choosing ain't easy. The pulled pork with red slaw, Chur sauce and fennel mayonnaise is sure to be a crowd favourite, as is the simple beef, pickle and cheese (why mess with perfection?). The crispy pork belly with chilli caramel, slaw and aioli is another standout.
And vegos will be loving the spiced chickpea patty with raw beetroot and honey labne.
Not just about the burgs, Chur Burger also has ripping snacks menu — hoisin beef tacos and BBQ chicken wings with blue cheese dressing anyone? — as well as more substantial mains, like the jerk chicken or grilled sirloin with chipotle butter. Chur Burger Brisbane also has a good selection of sides, including some righteous sweet potato fries with lime and garlic salt.
And, in case all that burgery goodness wasn't enough for you, Chur Burger Brisbane is also open for breakfast from 7am seven days a week, with a very tasty looking, slightly Mexican breakfast menu. Think corn bread muffins with avocado salsa, a spiced beef chimichanga, and Chur's breakfast burger.
Chur Burger Brisbane is open from 11:30am for lunch until late for burgers and beers.
