Mango Festival

Our favourite time of year is rolling around again—the time when we all spend our morning tea breaks hunched over the sink, mango juice rolling down forearms, sucking the last juicy drop of mango flesh right off the seed (don’t deny it, you know it’s true).

Right on time to help us kick off this glorious time of year, Rocklea’s Brisbane Markets are transforming their bustling precinct into a celebration of all things mango, with the Brisbane Night Market Mango Festival happening every Friday night from 20 September to 11 October.

Brisbane’s favourite food vendors will be putting on a show with a host of exclusive mango fare guaranteed to tickle your fancy, from mango-glazed popcorn and Cajun chicken and mango salsa pizza, to Maui mango pies, mango frozen yoghurt and mango gelato.

Feeling thirsty? Mango daiquiris, mango margaritas and mango beer will be pouring all night long.

Basically, the inaugural festival is for everyone whose fruit intake skyrockets at around this time of year, and if you spend most of summer scoffing mangoes, you shouldn’t miss it.

Brisbane Night Market’s Mango Festival will run every Friday from 4 pm to 10 pm, from 20 September until 11 October. Find out more here
