Pack Like A Pro | Beauty Essentials For Your Next Holiday

holiday beauty essentials

Here at The Urban List we’re day dreaming of getting some sun on our, quite frankly, pale winter bodies. What we wouldn’t give for a week lounging by the pool in Fiji or a few days soaking up some rays in Bali. Bliss! While we’re stuck in the office for the moment, we thought we’d lend a helping hand to those of you who are lucky enough to be jetting off on holiday this winter. Enter: everything (and more) that you’ll need to pack in your beauty bags. Enjoy!

Scunci’s On The Go Hair Kit

How annoying is it when you discover you are no longer the owner of any hair ties. At all?! “Very” is the answer. Lucky for you, this handy little kit is home to hair ties, bobby pins and clips. A holiday essential fo’ sure.

Frank Body’s The Grind High Club Travel Size Body Scrub

Aside from the witty name, this nifty set of four body scrubs is the perfect addition to your travel toiletries bag. Make sure your tan lasts as long as poss by exfoliating frequently. And don’t forget to moisturise too!

Jurlique’s Rosewater Balancing Mist

A multi-purpose product (win!), this lightweight mist is perfect for setting makeup or to use poolside to cool yourself down. Swanky. We also love giving ourselves a bit of a spritz mid-flight to keep skin hydrated.

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Moisture Balm

The ultimate in hydration, this balm is just what your dehydrated skin will need after baking in the sun/hours on the plane. Slap lots on to ensure beautifully bronzed and moisturised skin that will last long after your holiday.

Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm

Pop this one in your hand luggage to keep your mitts super-hydrated throughout your flight. Made up of fragrant botanicals and skin softening emollients (fancy!) it’s a must-have for any getaway.

Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels

A celeb-loved product (well, if it’s good enough for them!), simply pop these gels under your eyes for ten mins to reduce puffiness, tone and firm eye bags (ideal for during or post flight or after too many pina coladas!).

Lancome Hydra Intense Mask

The guys at Lancome know their stuff and have packed this gem full of good stuff including sub-tropical plant Imperata Cylindric, which is known to have moisturising properties. A great way to rehydrate skin after a day of sea, sun and salt!

Garnier Pure Micellar Cleansing Water

The product on everyone’s lips at the moment, micellar water is perfect for refreshing your skin mid-flight or for taking off makeup quickly and easily when all you want to do is hop into bed post a hard evening doing shots at the hotel bar.

Benefit Big Easy BB

With built-in sun protection, this BB cream is light enough that it won’t sweat off while you’re out and about and also provides enough coverage so that you can head out for drinks without reapplying makeup post beach. The dream.

Lucas’ Papaw Ointment

An Aussie favourite, this is one that you should carry everywhere. Not only will it keep your lips from chapping in the sun (never a good look), it can also be used on eyebrows and lashes as a lightweight alternative to mascara and brow pencils for that laid-back holiday look.

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Rollerball

There’s nothing worse than trying to lug around a full sized perfume bottle on holiday, but going without is a definite no. The perfect solution? A rollerball, of course! Perfect for taking your signature scent away with you without the hassle.
