If you’re known to froth over a few frothies, make it your mission to head to the southside’s latest addition to its burgeoning craft beer scene, new Brisbane brewery Slipstream Brewing Co.

Set to open in a converted warehouse in Yeerongpilly’s Wilkie St, this Brisbane microbrewery has been set up by home brewing enthusiast Dale Stanley-Hunt with the added expertise of craft beer brewing guru Ian Watson of Fortitude and Murray’s.

We hear Slipstream will have a 20-hectolitre brew house with 100 hectolitres of fermentation capacity—this basically translates as a heck of a lot of beer for your sipping pleasure.

They’ll operate as a wholesale brewery with that all-important cellar door-come-casual dining space which, along with the recently opened Ballistic Beer Co and boutique brewery Helios Brewing, will form a mini-mecca for craft beer in the area.

To get a taste of what’s on offer, swing by Scratch Bar this June 8 where Slipstream will be taking over the taps to showcase its refreshing Pale Ale, XPA, Vermont Style IPA, German Pilsner and American Brown Ale.

Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks!
