Palm trees, fountains, water features, relaxed seating, giant projection screens and high spec outdoor décor: no, we haven’t just stepped on to the set of Miami Vice or into one of the Kardashian’s pads, we’re in… a shopping centre! Huh?

Since unveiling a multi-million dollar facelift late last year, Westfield Garden City’s dining precinct has gained considerable attention, showcasing a slew of new high-end food outlets. And, thanks to a few new tenants in the form of Brisbane’s best restaurants, this hot new foodie epicentre is causing a serious stir. This is no humble food court.

First up, from the creators of iconic Brisbane restaurant, Alchemy comes The Palms. Setting up residence overlooking the elegant water feature of Westfield Garden City’s new food quarter, aptly named Town Square, The Palms have championed Mediterranean dining, with a menu more suited to the Amalfi Coast than Mount Gravatt!

Another familiar name to be welcomed into new glamorous digs is Sono’s newest venture, Motto Motto. More of a casual Japanese kitchen than its sister venues, Motto Motto offers up all your favourite dishes like pan fried gyoza, ramen and curries, with the attention to detail you’d expect from these cool cats.

Beloved Teneriffe restaurant, Hatch & Co has also joined the line up of high-end eateries at Westfield Garden City. Add to the list mega-popular 8 Street—decked out to look like an authentic Asian hawker-style food market and serving up 14 different styles of Asian foods—and you’ve got yourself practically every food group going.

Other fabulous dining options include Kinn Thai Restaurant, Ph by Pho Hung Vietnamese Kitchen, and Vapiano; the choice at Westfield Garden City’s Town Square is mind-boggling. Deciding what and where to dine has never been so tricky, this dining precinct is guaranteed to give you food FOMO.

Relaxed dining at its best, Town Square shines like a foodie’s oasis, which really has to be seen to be believed. Check it out!
