Clear your calendar, because Westfield’s Taste. Shop. Play is back for another weekend of epic pop-ups brimming with drool-worthy eats, makeup tutorials and creative exhibits.
It’s all going down on Saturday and Sunday, 7-8 September across 17 Westfields in New South Wales. So, no matter your postcode or preference there’s sure to be something for everyone.
80s Comeback
With retro fashion trends gracing the catwalk, the resurfacing of mullets and Stranger Things taking the world by storm, it’s clear the 80s are having an epic resurgence. If you’ve been contemplating trying the trend out for size, the time is now, with a mass of 80s-inspired pop-ups about to surface near you.
If a spin on a Retro Roller Rink pumping out the best 80s bangers sounds right up your alley, Westfield Tuggerah is where it’s at, but if you’re a little more south, Westfield Bondi Junction will have their very own pop-up arcade with all your favourite old-school classics, as well as throwback movie sessions at Event Cinemas, including all-time classic, CLUELESS.
There will also be a slew of 80s-inspired glam stations complete with braiding, glitter nails, hair crimping and even DIY scrunchie making at Westfield Hornsby, Westfield Warringah, Westfield Woden and Westfield Hurstville. It’s a resounding yes from us.
Customisation Sensation
Fashion lovers rejoice, because customisation pop-ups are about to take over New South Wales. With everything from sneaker customisation by local artist Mitch Revs at Westfield Kotara, to personalising your own t-shirts at Levi’s in Westfield Bondi, there’s something to tickle even the most fashion forward. Plus, Westfield Hurstville will also boast a customisation station allowing you to personalise both denim jackets and sneakers, while Westfield Chatswood will play host to a Calvin Klein personalisation station, so you can trademark all your jocks and socks.
Food, Glorious Food
Feeling peckish? Brace yourself for a smorgasbord of delicious feasts.
Westfield Bondi Junction will be serving up tasty retro food and drinks at Sonny’s Spider Bar and Luna’s Lollies pop-up, and if you’re in the thick of the city, Westfield Sydney will have a mouth-watering selection of old school burgers, retro dumplings and a gelato cart to top it all off (drools).
For the sweets obsessed, make sure you don’t miss out on Westfield Tuggerah’s dessert festival with Fluffy Crunch, Pull n Shots Coffee, Popcorn Freak and TJ Sprinkle all making a delicious appearance.
Like we needed another reason to hit the shops.
