Because the silly season and all the fun and frolics that come with it (fun = food comas, frolics = feels after a champers or three…) is looking us square in the eyes, we could not think of a more opportune time to announce that Brisbane is getting a Parisian-style laneway dedicated entirely to champagne. Mon dieu!
To celebrate the (re)opening of beloved French restaurant Montrachet, the Brisbane dining icon is closing off Machinery St in Bowen Hills and putting on an achingly chic brunch soiree. And what would a celebration be without popping a few bottles?
In keeping with the restaurant’s famous cuisine, the laneway will have a distinct Parisian feel, showcasing some of Montrachet’s iconic dishes—with a glass of champagne in hand of course.
Laneways goers will be greeted with a glass of bubbly, then enter a stunning Parisian-style food market; fresh croissants, tarts, breads cheese and charcuterie will be ripe for gorging on, while three (that’s right, THREE) champagne bars will be dotted throughout ensuring you never have an empty glass.
Tickets are strictly limited to this gorgeous laneway party, so we suggest you rally the gang asap and book your spot.
Cue BULK festive feels!
