Ever found yourself binge watching Cake Boss and wishing you could just teleport yourself right into the telly? Well, stop wishing, because the Bakery Lane Bake Off is coming to fulfill all your cake cravings and probably kickstart a hefty sugar addiction to boot.
A tasty new collaboration and the first event of its kind in Brisbane (but we hope not the last), the Bake Off is brought to us by the uber sweet Cakes and Sh!t, who’ve joined forces with Bakery Lane to pull together some of the biggest names in the cake biz, including Queen Fine Foods, The Scran Line and Rosie’s Dessert Spot.
If you’re tired of Sydney and Melbourne scoring all the best dessert events, just wait until you hear what’s on offer at this cake festival. Thefree, afternoon-long celebration will have an array of diabetes-inducing offerings including an onslaught of cakes and cupcakes, custom selfie cookies and a sprinkle bar. Yes, a sprinkle bar.
As if that wasn’t already enough to put you into a sugar coma, a cake decorating showdown is the cherry on top of this event. To all the baking show fanatics and secret cupcake masters out there hiding in their pantries, you’ll have the chance to pretend you’re on your very own baking show by working your magic with icing and fondant in front of a live audience.
Register your attendance through the event page and you’ll even score a sweet (pun intended) tote bag filled with goodies from all the amazing sponsors. If we weren’t frothing over the cakes already, we definitely are now over free stuff. Sign up here and prepare yourselves for the mother of all sugar highs.
