Brisbane’s Getting A Stunning Heritage-Style Pub

Look, to say we're excited about this new Brisbane pub would probably pass as the understand of the century. But, Brisbane's West End IS getting a new pub and boy, is it going to be a good one.

First things first, the details: the pub will be (adorably) named The Monty (that's short for Montague Hotel, duh), will feature a restaurant, and plenty of space for locals and generally thirsty folk to congregate, plus, there will also be an incredible mural handpainted by Stewart Sucker—which makes us think this new Brisbane pub is going to be pretty cool. We also know that local brews from Newstead Brewing Co., Green Beacon, and Fortitude Brewing will be on tap, alongside 17 other local and international beers.

The food is set to be equally as appetizing, with the menu boasting a mighty fine line up; halloumi fries, a rotisserie, and boards made for one (or two) topped sky-high with wings, beer battered pickles and ribs. Wow. There is also going to be charcoal garlic bread which actually sounds like heaven on earth.

That's all we know so far, but keep your eyes peeled on this spot for more info as it comes. The Montague Hotel is set to open at the end of this month.
