While we all might be feeling a little blue now that summer has gone and done its dash, this is (not so secretly) the time of year when Brisbane kicks in to third gear with festivals popping up like it aint no thing.
One of Brissy’s all-time face festivals, Fish Lane Festival is returning for 2018, and we’re prepping the body for all of the food consumption.
Anyone unfamiliar with this kick-ass South Brisbane festival (shame on you) need know only this: the festival food is to DIE FOR.
Aside for the live music and electric atmos, some of town’s most iconic and most-loved restauranteurs create special dishes just for Fish Lane Festival day—and let me tell you, they don’t leave anything in the sheds.
And today, guys, we got the literal scoop on Gelato Messina’s dish for 2018: enter, the Pash ‘N Dash.
Taking cues from our sub-tropical surrounds, this crazy-beautiful dish comprises of passionfruit cheesecake, a raspberry gel and passionfruit curd, a dollop of GM’s iconic vanilla bean gelato, all topped with a handmade meringue crown and dusted with a passionfruit powder to serve. Phew, it’s a bloody mouthful!
So, if this Brisbane festival isn’t already in your iCal, you better lock in the date. Just picture you, your mates, some bevvies and this epic dessert. Heaven.
