Pull out your winter woollies, because a whole heap of real snow is being dropped in Brisbane.

Defying our (oh-so balmy) above freezing temperatures, the winter wonderland that is Snow4Kids Festival is back and is gearing up to pump out tonnes of real snow on the daily into the heart of South Bank.

Snowman making, snowball throwing and shoving handfuls of snow down the back of jumpers are all on the agenda over in South Bank Parklands, where the piazza will be covered in a thick blanket of real snow. This year, things do look a little different than usual of course, with the set up changed to allow for social distancing.

"We've divided the venue into zones for everyone to have their own area to play in, with benches surrounding our snow garden, to make sure everyone has enough space for social distancing," said Event Manager Anne Kowalewski.

Although you won't be able to start a gigantic snow ball fight, you’re still going to win some serious brownie points with any littlies you know. Plus, if they’ve never seen snow before this will be a day they’ll never forget. Cue us messaging every single one of our friends with kids to see if we can adopt a small child for the day.

Tickets are $20pp, which gets you 50 minutes of snow play time in fresh snow made just for you. So, dust off your snow boots and head down to South Bank Piazza this winter.
