Stop Everything: An Ice Cream Festival Is Hitting Brisbane!

Because it's hot, and we deserve some sort of reprise from this sweltering, sweaty heat, Brisbane has finally received some earth-shattering news: we're getting a freakin' ice cream festival! Thank you God!

In case you haven't noticed, West End has been going through some serious changes lately; the Boundary Street Markets have moved, and there's some serious construction going on. But, it will all be worth it when the Brisbane Ice Cream Festival rolls into town. The festival will take place at the Peters Ice Cream Factory and will pay total homage to everything ice cream related: gelato, ice cream (err, duh), ice cream sandwiches, even popsicles. It's all happening, folks!

It's all pretty hush-hush at the moment, but we can tell you that the likes of Gelato Messina, Boss Bites, Queen of Pops, and Frozen Sunshine will be dishing out frozen treats on the day. As if that wasn't enough, we've also been promised live music and a bar dedicated to frozen alcoholic treats.

Summer, you've almost redeemed yourself.

The details

When: Saturday March 11, 11am-5pm
