The verdict
Jamie's Espresso, the iconic coffee haunt that has become synonomous with the slightly grungier side of James Street, is a city treasure. Vaguely irreverent and distinctly lacking in coffee snobbery, this urban cafe hub is soon to close its doors after more than 20 years of continuous trade.
Come down to pour one out on Sunday April 28 and pass on your well wishes for Jamie and his team. Don't get too down though, we're promised Jamie's Espresso will be back later in 2019, in a new location not far from the Robertson St staple.
