For some, tea isn’t just a refreshment, it’s an obsession. And for those, news of the Laneway Tea Festival hitting Bakery Lane on Saturday 5 October will be extremely welcome.
Taking over Bakery Lane from 10am to 4pm, the tea festival is a celebration of all things brewed, seeped and stipped (pinkies up, of course), offering free tea tastings, tea classes and even tea readings with teas from all over the world. Whether you're a lover of green, chai, matcha, herbal, iced, bubble or just plain black tea, you'll find plenty to sample here, and there'll even be a DIY tea blend bar to mix up your perfect brew.
General admission is free, but a $10 VIP ticket will get you a ceramic tea tasting cup and a tote bag for all your goodies.
Even if you don't plan on rolling in VIP style, you'll still need to register for a free ticket—you can grab them here.
