As the weather in Brisbane starts to heat up, it’s officially time to start looking for those cool, refreshing summer eats. This means it’s the humble Acai bowl’s time to shine. With so many great Acai bowls on offer in Brisbane, it can be hard to know which ones are the hot and which ones are not. To help you find the very best, we’ve put together this list of Brisbane's best Acai bowls you have to try now. Happy eating!

Pineapple Express Superfood Box

Fortitude Valley

The guys at this recently opened Pineapple Express Superfood Box in the Valley offer us not one, but five tasty Acai bowls to choose from, not including the daily special. Their newest offering, the Apple Crunch, may just be the best. Acai, banana and Manuka honey are topped with crunchy apple and cinnamon granola, coconut flakes, delicious stewed apple and finished off with more cinnamon and Manuka honey. It’s the apple pie of Acai bowls.

Acai Brothers Superfood Bar

Wellington Point

Based at Wellington Point, Acai Brothers have one heck of a menu packed with organice superfood goodness, which includes some pretty great Acai bowls. While the Jaffa or Choc Peppermint bowls might catch your eye, it’s the Nutella that makes this must-try list. Raw Acai is combined with coconut water, banana, coconut nectar and cacao powder as well as granola and, of course, hazelnuts. You also get to choose three delicious fresh fruits to top your bowl off, including strawberries, raspberries, apple, blueberries and banana.

Blurred Coffee Lounge

New Farm

The Acai bowl on offer at New Farm’s Blurred Coffee Lounge is definitely one to remember and one you have to try. Prepare to be served a very generous bowl of organic Amazonia Co. berry blend, which includes Acai, raspberries, strawberries and blueberries. This is then topped with perfectly crunchy granola, goji and inca berries, crunchy dried banana, shredded coconut and pepitas. It’s a sweet, tangy, crunchy, cool taste sensation and absolute must-try.

Kiss the Berry

South Brisbane

You can’t really talk about must-try Acai bowls without talking about Kiss The Berry. These guys have a whole menu dedicated to delicious bowls, including honourable mentions like The Jam Dougnut Bowl and Watermelon Split. However, it’s the Snickers Delight that makes this list as the must-try Acai bowl. Organic acai is blended with banana and raw cacao powder, almond butter, coconut water and almond milk. It’s then topped off with handmade granola, banana, coconut, raspberries and luscious raw cacao nibs.

Coco Bliss Superfood Bar

Another mainstay of Brisbane’s Acai bowl scene, Coco Bliss offer a number of tasty options. These include the Choc Mint Slice Bowl, Apple Crumble Bowl and a rather intrigue Black Bowl (which includes the use of activated charcoal). It’s the Cherry Ripe Bowl that takes the cake though, this must-try combines Acai and cherries with cacao, finishing it off with crunchy granola, vanilla coyo, strawberries and coconut flakes.

Camp Hill

The Amazonia Acai Sundae at Picnic, located in Camp Hill, really does come out looking like a Sundae! Aside from its good looks, this Acai bowl tastes mighty fine too, which earns it a spot on our must-try Acai bowl list. Your bowl of deliciously tart Acai is blended with coconut milk and banana then topped with crunchy, nutty granola, dried cranberries, buckinies, shredded coconut and lashings of fresh fruit, like banana and strawberries.
