Hold Up | Rap Karaoke Is Coming To Brisbane

9th Jun 2017

Ever fantasised about going head-to-head in an underground rap battle but don’t have the requisite rhyming scheme? From the crew behind Morningside’s triumvirate of pleasures comes a holy solution: rap karaoke.

Churning out of the Southside Tea Room, this is your chance to drop gut-grinding beats like the lyrical mastermind you wish you were. Join in a journey across the raw tapestry of rap history, from Biggie to Snoop, with an agenda of undisputed hits.

(Please note: rap verses don’t count and anyone requesting Justin Bieber’s ‘Baby’ will get stink-eyed.)

Get into the spirit with a hoodie and shutter shades cosplay and you could win one of the coveted prizes for best dressed. Gang of Smiths will also be there running a temporary tatt parlour for any cleanskins with a fresh knuckle.

With drinks at Death Valley Bar and snackage from the Red Robin Supper Truck, the night is gearing up to be kind of a big deal.

If past karaoke nights are anything to go by, this event will fill up fast so make sure you reserve your spot, details below.

The details

Where: Southside Tea Room
When:  Saturday 8 July at 8pm
Reserve your spot for free here from 9am Wednesday 14 June.
