The countdown to the start of Brisbane Festival is well and truly ON! And, here at The Urban List, because we are so greedy, we are particularly excited about the foodie Festival Flavours events, taking place at some of our most-loved dining spots over the course of the festival.

For the length of the festival,18 of our city's most delish' venues, including Fat Noodle, Spring, Brew, Bucci, Gerard's Bistro, Bacchus, and Watt Restaurant + Bar, have created exclusive Festival Flavours dishes to celebrate the colours and flavours of this year's Brisbane festival. Each dish is thoughtfully paired with a beverage, and can be yours for the special Festival Flavours price of only $30.

Because we like to know exactly what is going to be on our plates (so we can drool over it beforehand), we've done some pre-festival snooping and sussed our fave dishes from this year's Festival Flavours line up. Our picks have to include the sweet spiced lamb kefta and winter tabouli with flatbread, at Gerard's, the seared Yellow Fin tuna with watermelon, soy gel, and wasabi at Champ Kitchen and Bar, Bucci's Spaghetti polpette e pomodoro (that's nonnna's spaghetti and meat balls, to you), and the slow-braised beef cheeks at Brew. Er, yum, why can't it be Brisbane Festival time all year?

You can get your hands on one of these amazing dishes at any stage during the festival, and the tasty fun doesn't stop there. By checking in to the Festival Flavours venue and hashtagging FestivalFlavours, you can win yourself Brisbane Festival tickets, as well as restaurant and bar vouchers!

You'll also find sumptuous Festival Flavours dishes at 5ifth Element, Aquitaine Brasserie, Customs House Restaurant, Iceworks, Libertine Restaurant, Popolo Italian Kitchen and Bar, Lock 'n' loadSouth Bank Surf Club Bar and Restaurant, Tartufo Ristorante, The Jetty South Bank, and Vintaged Bar + Grill. As you can see, with a line up like this, you won't need to travel far to find a Festival Flavours dish, which is something we can all be grateful for!
