Happy Birthday To Us . . . The Urban List Turns 2!

By Kim Barnard
1st Sep 2013

It should come as no surprise that we love a good party, here at TUL, and, although we don't need much motivation, the fact that we turned two today seems like a great reason to celebrate!

That's right, we're a toddler now, so look out world!

It's been an amazing ride to get to this point and we are so grateful to our loyal supporters and readers who have joined the Urban List community over the last two years—the site is for you, and we couldn't have done it without you!

To celebrate our exciting milestone, the TUL team have taken a trip down memory lane and come up with our favourite stories from the last two years . . .

Susannah George | Director
'My favourite article would have to be Carrie's, 50 Shades of New Farm. I'm calling for a second installment!'\

Kim Barnard | Content Manager
'I can't go past our Barista, Waiter, Cocktail Maker series. Was so much fun putting this together and such a great way to recognise and celebrate the outstanding people in the service industry in Brisbane.'

Sophia McMeekin | Content Producer
'My favourite posts are every edition of 'This Week on The Web', ever.'

Phil Swan | Communications Executive

'The Close Encounter with Alex from Depo is one of my faves. I want to be that guy. It seems like he has the raddest job ever.'

Cheyanne Proud | Graphic Designer
'The Close Encounter with Jade from Cake Kiosk, definitely. If you haven't had a chance to try Jade's cakes yet, this post will definitely make you want to. The mouthwatering imagery of tarts, cakes, scones, and baked fruit will have you counting down the days until the next Powerhouse Farmers Markets.'

Gabby Stjernqvist | Graphic Designer
'I love the imagery and the layout of Tom and Bonnie from Public's Close Encounter. I love being able to see inside different people's homes and how they style their home and to meet the people behind one of my favourite restaurants.'

Kylie Curtis | Account Manager
'I loved 'Restaurants to Break Up In'. Cracked me up!'

Jonathan White | Account Manager
'Can't go past 'Brisbane's Best Sandwiches', because there's nothing I love more than putting things between two slices of bread.'
