Learn To Bake, Paint, And Make Coffee At This Year’s Maker Day

7th Oct 2017

Looking for a way to shake up your regular (read: boring) Sunday routine? Then look no further than the inaugural Maker Day at Albion Fine Trades! In partnership with Brisbane Open House (our fave way to snoop around other people’s properties, err, legally) this is the perfect day out to brush up your skills, while bringing some of Brisbane’s best purveyors together.

Maker Day will give you the opportunity to get involved and immersed in hands-on classes, activities and workshops hosted by leaders in their fields. For those interested in art, Archibald Prize Finalist Sam Cranstoun will be hosting an interactive painting workshop and Meet The Maker design talks will be occurring at Magnolia Interiors with Mud Australia Founder and CEO Shelley Simpson. No biggie.

Always dreamt of being a baking extraordinaire? The wizards at Jocelyn’s Provisions are letting you in on their well-kept secrets, teaching bread making, croissant rolling and cupcake decorating (does life get better?).  You’ll also have the chance to fulfill all of your indie dreams with the good folk at Neighborhood Coffee offering a coffee roasting masterclass with Alex Ridgeway. #bliss

And of course a Sunday wouldn’t be complete without puppies so thankfully the RSPCA Community Team will be hosting a Puppy Adoption Day with heaps of fun activities on offer (and ALL of the puppy cuddles).

Grab your friends, get the family together, and roll on down to Albion Fine Trades to see what this gorgeous new community hub has to offer.
