Brisbane Market Calendar | December

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Brisbane markets get all warm and fuzzy during the festive season, full of festive cheer, twinkling fairy lights… and lots of amazing food! From gourmet Christmas puds, mince pies and cookies, honey roast hams, turkeys, plus all your pantry needs, Brisbane markets will have you fully stocked for a family invasion come the big day.

Lifestyle Markets

South Bank Christmas Market | Everyday from the 12th – 23rd December, South Bank Collective Markets will transform into a one-stop Christmas destination! Adorned in twinkly lights, find everything you need in time for Christmas; gourmet Christmas treats and fine foods, decorations, unique gifts and a ton of festive cheer! There’ll even be carols by twilight, so you can shop with a theme tune!

South Bank Collective Market | Find all kinds of beautiful creative wares here, from one-of-a-kind art, photography, designer fashion and accessories, homewares, jewellery, and creative pop-up shops. Stop by one of South Bank’s many, many food offerings while you’re there—you won’t be disappointed!

Fortitude Valley Markets | We’re totally crushing on the newly renovated Fortitude Valley Markets! Spread across Brunswick Street Mall and Chinatown Mall, check out the all-new food stalls from some of Brisbane’s best, pick up beautiful bohemian homewares, vintage fashion pieces, jewellery and curios, all from local designers. The perfect Brisbane markets to pick up unusual and unique gifts for Christmas too!

Young Designers Market | Showcasing our super talented Brisbane locals, here you’ll find on trend fashions, beautiful artworks, and homewares. This Brisbane market is perfect for picking up unique pieces, and will make your Christmas shopping a breeze!

When: First Sunday of every month 10:00am - 4:00pm

Suitcase Rummage | Unique and quirky finds are the norm at this Brisbane market. Get into it and you might just find yourself a total bargain and some fabulous finds!

Where: Reddacliff Place | Queen Street in Brisbane CBD

When: First and third Sunday of every month 12:00pm – 5:00pm

Boundary Street Markets | No longer just for the daytime revelers,Boundary Street Markets are ast becoming one of our favourite weekend haunts! Find beautiful jewellery stalls, antiques, pop-up clothing stores, original artworks, and a whole lot of atmosphere. (See below for more details on Boundary Street's cool night markets too)!

Night Markets

Kelvin Grove Village Community Carols | Brisbane marketeer fave, Kelvin Grove Village markets, have come over all festive this year. From 4pm, come down for an evening of delicious food (yes, even a sausage sizzle and slushies!), art and craft stands, live music, and Christmas Carols in the park. Bring a picnic rug and settle in for an evening of festive fun, that’ll make you feel all warm and fuzzy!

When: Sunday 7th December 4pm – 8pm

The Gap Farmers Markets Twilight Christmas Market | Not wanting to miss out on the seasonal festivities, The Gap Farmers Markets are putitng on a gorgeous twilight Christmas market! Join all your favourite stallholders for one last hurrah before the end of the year; pick up any last minute pantry goodies and sweet treats, check out the beautiful selection of Christmas gifts and decorations, take the kids to the petting zoo, plus a whole heap of live music and entertainment throughout the evening.

Where: Hilder Road State School, The Gap
When: 3:30pm – 7pm

Eat Street Markets | The mother of all food markets, here you’ll find every food trend going, and then some! Find an endless array of delicious food stalls, from wood fired pizzas, American burgers, cronuts, donuts and desserts, Japanese, Mexican, Korean and everything in-between. There are also stalls selling great vintage homewares and hand-made gifts, so make Eat Streets a must-do on your Christmas shopping list!

Where: Macarthur Avenue, Hamilton

When: Every Thursday (13th November - 18th December) 4:00pm - 10:00pm, Friday 4:00pm – 10:00pm, Saturday 4:00pm – 10:00pm

Love Your Local Twilight Markets | Held twice monthly, Love Your Local Twilight markets bring together some of the best food trucks in Brisbane, so come here with an empty belly and stretchy pants!

Where: Hawthorne Park | Hawthorne Road in Hawthorne 

When: First and third Friday of every month 4:00pm - 8:30pm

Boundary Street’s Market Lane Night Markets | Like their epic day markets, (only with alcohol!), Boundary Street’s Night markets are hawker-style stalls serving up all kinds of food, live entertainment and live music gigs at The Motor Room. With pop-up stalls, a bar and a easygoing vibe, this night market is one of the best spots for a Friday and Saturday night.

Flower Market

Brisbane Flower Market | The Brisbane Flower Markets get super crazy around the festive period (more so that normal, if you can believe it!), so get organized and set the alarms if you want the best blooms for your Christmas dinner centerpiece!

Where: Sherwood Road | Rocklea

When: Monday - Friday 5:00am - 3:00pm, Saturday 6:00am - 1:00pm

Food / Produce Markets

Kelvin Grove Village Markets | Get down early for your pick of the best produce, this one’s for the early birds. Snap up fresh fruit and veg, local meats, plus a delicious selection of street food, including some epic pastries, and great coffee. Mmm, fresh pastries!

Love Your Local 'Off The Green' Coorparoo Market | Get the weekly shop done, then settle in with some delicious grub from one of Brisbane’s favourite food trucks and wash it down with a cold one from the bar at the Bowls Club.

Eat, Bake, Grow Markets | Eat, Bake Grow Markets have gained a cult like following in a matter of months! Organic, fresh, local and free-range produce is what it’s all about here, so make sure you bring an extra large shopping basket!

When: 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month, from 7am - 12pm
Where: Mount Cotton State School

Carseldine Farmers Markets | They’ve only been around for a matter of months, but Carseldine Farmers Markets are leading the charge on the market scene! Fresh produce, freshly baked breads, artisan coffee, even fashion and homewares; these markets have the good stuff.

Where: The Old QUT Campus, 532 Beams Road, Carseldine

When: Every Saturday 6am-12pm

The Gap Farmers Markets | Buy your weekly fruit and veg straight from the local growers (that’s what we call paddock to plate!) while perusing the stalls for gourmet delights to fill your pantry. Pick up breakfast while you’re here, it’s delish!

Cleveland Village Farmers Markets | Just minutes from the water, find all your fresh groceries, homewares, plus arts and crafts at this cute Brisbane market, then grab a coffee at one of the cafes in town.

Where: Cnr Bloomfield St and Middle St, Cleveland

When: Every Sunday 7am-1pm

Eagle Farm Markets | The Eagle Farm Markets is the celebrity of the market world! With a huge selection of fruit, veg, meat, gourmet pastries and deli delights, there’s barely any need for a trip to the supermarket! Christmas is a big deal here, so expect lots of seasonal stalls of food, drink and gifts! One of the best Brisbane markets.

Nundah Fresh Farmer's Markets | Fresh seafood and meat is in abundance here, so fill up your bags while wrestling off the locals! Pick up fruit and veg, freshly baked cakes, pastries and sweet treats.

Where: Nundah Train Station

When: Every Sunday 6:00am – midday

Urban Producers & Co Market | Pick up fresh fruit and veg, artisan condiments for your pantry (we’re thinking Christmas cheese platter condiments) plus a whole host of delicious produce to make the weekly shop more interesting.

Davies Park Market (West End Market) | Cross off your grocery list at Davies Park Markets with a huge choice of local produce, then settle in under the jacaranda trees with a coffee and a sweet treat. A perfectly lazy day.

Moggill Markets | A great spot for picking up the weekly groceries, and to indulge in a little pantry stocking – perfect for the family invasion come Christmas time! A great atmosphere, and a ripper selection of fresh produce at this charming Brisbane market.

Brisbane Rocklea Saturday Fresh Market | One of the oldest markets in Brisbane, these guys show ‘em how it’s done! Pick up some of the freshest fruit and veg, plus great pastries and coffee to start the day right. Set those alarms early—the regs get there early!

Northey Street City Farm Organic Market | Northey Street boss at certified organic produce, brilliant coffee, fresh meats and seafood. If you like to dabble in your home veggie patch, they also have some cracking gardening stalls for all your planting needs.

Jan Power’s Farmers Market | A Brisbane market institution, Jan Power’s Farmers Markets are top of the list when it comes to fresh produce and delish treats. With four handy locations across the city, find all your fruit and veggies here, meats and seafood, plus locally sourced deli and pantry goods.
