If there’s one thing that Brisbane is good at—aside from being generally awesome—it’s fostering and hosting a good market. Seriously, we’ve got everything from organic farmers markets that will blow your mind to markets dedicated to handmade arts and crafts to markets just for the succulent-lovers amongst us. With so many options, where does one even start when working out their market-inclined weekend plans? Don’t worry, friends - look no further than this list of all the markets you need to hit up this March. Trust us, your Instagram page is going to look professional AF when you’re finished – and you may or may not have gained ten kilos along the way. Worth it.

Pets At The Gabba

Guys, it’s the market we’ve been waiting for; Pets at the Gabba is officially Brisbane’s first pet-specific market! That’s right, this brand spankin’ new concept is the perfect excuse to include your fur baby in your next weekend adventure. The market will feature stalls dedicated to pet-related goods like organic treats and clothing, as well as live entertainment for those two-legged guests among the crowd. Exact date and location is TBA, so make sure you hop on over to the Pets at the Gabba website to stay updated. We’ll see you there!

Jan Powers Farmers Market

Swap the calorie guilt for a romp through the Jan Powers Farmers Market this weekend as you stock up on the freshest local produce from around Brisbane. Highlights of the selection include artisan preserves, freshly-baked bread and all the organic fruit and vegetables you could ever need. Grab some fresh bread and cheese for a brunch to please any tastebuds or sample some handmade jam doughnuts while you pick out the ingredients for a killer dinner. Our stomachs are growling just thinking about it.

Stone & Wood Backyard Party

As part of Brewsvegas, Stone & Wood will be hosting a backyard-party-market-combo like Brisbane’s never seen before. Featuring a fine selection of food trucks, market stalls from local sellers, live music from local legends The Belligerents and the Stone’s famous landcruiser Clyde serving up some killer bevvys, this event is set to be a stunner. To top it all off, all the profits raised from the night will go towards OZ Harvest, helping to support the wonderful they work they do in helping provide food for those in need. Sign us the heck up!

The Milton Markets

Claiming to be ‘inner west Brisbane’s premiere foodie market’, Milton Markets does not disappoint when it comes to mouth-watering tastes and even better shopping. This weekly market boasts farm-direct produce, live music, art, designers, bakers, baristas and plenty of activities for the little ones – making it the perfect spot for that weekend family outing you’ve been craving. Heck, you could even do your weekly shop while you’re at it and knock that out of the way. We do love a good multi-tasking adventure.

What do you get when you take sustainable living and combine it with a pretty dang impressive organic market? Why the Northey Street City Farm Organic Market of course! This farmers markets is dedicated to providing fresh, certified organic produce from around Queensland, so you know that everything you buy is both good for the environment (and your tummy) and supports local businesses. I don’t know about you, but I’d definitely call that a win-win.

Guys, if you’re ready for the best feast you’ve had since Christmas, you need to head over to the Brisbane Vegan Markets this weekend. We’re talking vegan mac ‘n’ cheese, burgers that’ll have you coming back for seconds and all the plant-based comfort food you could ever consume in one outing. Plus, we can all pretend that the calories totally don’t count because it’s vegan and thus super-healthy, right? Right. Run, don’t walk.
