We didn’t think it could get much better than a bacon festival, but then a chilli and avo festival comes along and reminds us to keep dreaming big. With avocado and chilli being two of the best foods of all time (maybe even better than bacon?), we think this weekend is going to be all time.
Previously two separate festivals, the teams have joined forces to bring Araluen’s Chilli and Avocado Festival to McCallum Park in Victoria Park for the weekend of 11 and 12 March. There will be a few celebrity chefs cooking up a storm so you can get your fill of avo and chilli goodness or, if you fancy yourself as a bit of a green thumb, you’ll be able to get some gardening tips—you’ll be growing your own avos in no time (maybe).
Tickets are only $20 and kids under 17 are free so get yours quick smart.
